What a wholesale / kirana bill should include
- Your business name, address and PAN/VAT number.
- Shop name and address of the buyer.
- Each item with pack size and unit — "Rice, 25 kg bag", "Oil, 1 L".
- VAT only where it applies — turn VAT off on items that don't carry it.
- Totals and amount in words.
- Paid / Unpaid and due date — most kirana supply runs on credit.
Tips for wholesalers and kirana suppliers
- Mark each bill Paid or Unpaid — it makes weekly collection rounds much easier.
- Keep your price list in the product library and update rates there when they change.
- Send the bill on WhatsApp when the goods leave, so the shop checks it on arrival.
- Use a delivery note for goods sent before the bill is final.
VAT on food items: some basic food items are VAT-exempt in Nepal. Turn VAT off on those lines — and check with your auditor which of your items it applies to.
