How ProQuote handles your data — spoiler: it stays on your device.
ProQuote is a client-side web application developed and operated by Hell Nah, an independent software company based in Nepal. All document creation, editing, and storage happens entirely in your browser. We do not operate servers that collect, process, or store your business data. Signing in is optional and adds nothing to that: your documents still never reach us.
ProQuote uses your browser's IndexedDB and localStorage to save drafts, documents, templates, and preferences, along with your Bill maker bills and products, your ledger records (purchase bills, payments, credit entries and the phone numbers or notes you add for customers and suppliers). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it, or turn on Google Drive backup. Clearing your browser data will remove all locally stored information.
If you are signed in, a copy of your account profile is also kept on the device so pages can show it without asking our server each time. It is removed when you sign out.
Shared computers. The account menu has a “Clear my work from this device” option. It removes every document, bill, product, customer and business detail ProQuote stored in that browser, and keeps only display choices such as dark mode.
You can use every feature of ProQuote without an account. If you do choose to sign in with Google, we store only the details needed to identify you and to fill in your documents automatically:
That is the whole list. Your documents, clients and saved companies are not part of it. Sign out at any time from the account menu, and contact us if you want your account and those details deleted.
Advertising requests. If you ask to advertise on ProQuote, the details you enter (business name, the ad's text, a photo if you add one, a link and a phone number if you give one) are stored on our server with your account email so the request can be reviewed, and are shown publicly once approved. We count how many times an approved ad is seen and clicked; those counts are not linked to who saw it. You can remove your request, and the ad with it, from Settings at any time.
If you turn it on and grant permission, ProQuote keeps a backup copy of your saved documents, companies, client list, product list, Bill maker bill history and Khata records (purchase bills, payments and udharo entries) in your own Google Drive. When you delete a product or a bill, it is removed from that backup too; only its random ID and the date it was deleted are kept, for 60 days, so another of your devices doesn't put it back. How it works:
drive.appdata scope). It is the only part of your Drive ProQuote can reach — we cannot see, list or open anything else in your account, and no other app can read what ProQuote puts there.Your data, your responsibility. Because your documents live on your device and in your own Google account, we have no copy of them and cannot recover them for you. Keeping your Google account secure, and keeping your own copies of anything important, is up to you. ProQuote is provided as-is, and we are not responsible for data lost through a cleared browser, a lost or broken device, a deleted, suspended or compromised Google account, a Drive outage, or a restore that overwrites something you still wanted. The Backup/Restore option in the app writes a plain JSON file you can keep anywhere, and a restore always stashes a rescue copy of what was on the device first — but a backup you control is still the only thing that can save you.
Our own analytics — We count page visits with a simple built-in counter: the page address, the site that referred you, your country and device type, and a code made from your IP address that changes every day, so visits can't be linked over time. It never includes your documents. Google Analytics — We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site; Google may set cookies and collect your IP address and browser details under Google's privacy policy. Neither sees your documents.
ProQuote itself does not set advertising cookies. We use localStorage for your preferences (theme, page size, numbering) and draft auto-save. Google AdSense and other third-party services may set cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure personalized ads. For more information, please review Google's privacy policy.
ProQuote registers a service worker to enable offline functionality. The service worker caches application files and CDN resources on your device so the app works without an internet connection. No data is transmitted to external servers through the service worker.
When you export a document as PDF, JPEG, or PNG, the file is generated entirely in your browser. When you share via WhatsApp, images are generated locally and shared through native sharing APIs. We do not intercept or store exported files.
A share link is short because the document it opens is kept on our servers for 6 months, then deleted. Before it leaves your browser the document is encrypted with a key that exists only in the link, in the part after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers. We therefore hold a copy we cannot read: only someone with the link can open it, and anyone who has the link can. To stop misuse we keep a scrambled form of the network address a link was made from for one day. When a short link cannot be made (for example offline), the link carries the whole document inside itself instead and nothing is stored with us. Either way a link cannot be withdrawn once sent.
Typing or saying a bill. In the Bill maker you can type items as a sentence. It is read on your device. If a line is unclear you can press Read with AI: only then are that sentence, your currency label and the names and prices of up to 40 of your products sent to an AI model run by Cloudflare, the company that hosts ProQuote, and the answer comes straight back. We do not store what you typed or the answer; we keep only a count of uses per day against a scrambled form of your network address, deleted after a week, so the free allowance is shared fairly. If you use the microphone, your browser turns speech into text, and some browsers (Chrome among them) send the audio to their maker to do that; ProQuote itself never receives audio.
Payment QR codes. A payment QR you upload is read in your browser and redrawn exactly as it was; a UPI, PayPal, payment-link or SEPA QR is built in your browser from what you type. If you scan a QR with the camera, the picture is read in your browser as you hold it up; nothing is recorded or sent. None of it is sent to us. Always scan the finished document once yourself before sending it.
Using ChatGPT or another AI to write a list. ProQuote gives you a prompt to copy. What you send to that service is between you and it, under its own terms; ProQuote only sees the reply you paste back, and only in your browser. WhatsApp reminders and receipts from the ledger open WhatsApp with a message already written; the message is sent by you, from your own account.
ProQuote does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13, and accounts require a Google sign-in, which Google's own age rules govern. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. If a change ever affects what we store about account holders, we will say so here rather than quietly widening the list.
