रु NPR and 13% VAT, Ready

Nepalese Rupee is the default currency and 13% VAT is one tap away. Set a different rate per item when some goods are VAT-exempt.

PAN / VAT Number

Print your PAN or VAT number and your customer's on every bill, quotation and invoice — the first thing buyers and auditors look for.

Nepali Date (BS)

Show the Bikram Sambat date beside the English date — for example 10 Asoj 2083 BS — so customers and offices read the date they use.

Amount in Words — Lakh & Crore

Totals are written the Nepali way: “One Lakh Thirteen Thousand Rupees Only”, not “One Hundred Thirteen Thousand”.

eSewa, Khalti, FonePay QR

Add your FonePay, eSewa, Khalti or ConnectIPS payment QR once. It prints sharp on every document so customers scan and pay on the spot.

Export a PDF or image and send it on WhatsApp — or any app — straight from your phone. Works offline too — no internet needed at the shop counter.

Every Document a Nepali Business Sends

Or start from a ready-made sample: hardware shop, construction, wholesale and more templates.

What a Bill in Nepal Should Show

  1. Your business name, address and PAN/VAT number — exactly as registered with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
  2. A bill number and date — numbers in unbroken order; many businesses show the BS date alongside AD.
  3. The buyer's name, address and PAN/VAT number — especially when the buyer is a registered business.
  4. Each item's description, quantity, rate and amount — not one lump sum.
  5. Taxable amount and VAT shown separately — then the total in figures and in words.
  6. Payment details — bank account or payment QR, and the due date if not paid on the spot.
Important — VAT tax invoices and IRD rules. IRD requires VAT tax invoices to be printed by an IRD-approved press or issued from IRD-approved billing software, and larger businesses must use electronic billing connected to IRD. ProQuote is not IRD-approved billing software. It is ideal for quotations, proforma invoices, estimates, delivery notes (chalan), receipts and statements — for tax invoices, check with your auditor or your IRD office first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ProQuote free to use in Nepal?▼
Yes. Every feature — quotations, invoices, bills, delivery notes (chalan), 80mm receipt bills, PDF export and WhatsApp sharing — is free, with no sign-up and no limit on documents.
Can I show the Nepali (BS) date on a bill?▼
Yes. Turn on “Nepali Date (BS)” in the app's settings and every document shows the Bikram Sambat date beside the English (AD) date.
Can I add my PAN or VAT number and my customer's?▼
Yes. There is a “VAT / PAN No.” field for your business and another for your customer, and both print on the document.
Does it write the amount in words in lakh and crore?▼
Yes. When the currency is NPR, the total is written in words using the Nepali/South Asian system — for example “One Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand Rupees Only”.
Is a bill made in ProQuote accepted by IRD as a VAT tax invoice?▼
Not automatically. Inland Revenue Department rules require VAT tax invoices to come from an IRD-approved printing press or IRD-approved billing software, and ProQuote is not IRD-approved billing software. Use ProQuote for quotations, proforma invoices, estimates, delivery notes (chalan) and receipts, and confirm with your auditor or IRD before issuing tax invoices from it.
Can customers pay by scanning eSewa, Khalti or FonePay QR on the bill?▼
Yes. Upload your FonePay, eSewa, Khalti or ConnectIPS payment QR once; ProQuote checks it and prints a clean, sharp copy on your documents so customers can scan and pay.
